About the college

Moorpark College came onto the education scene in 1963 by way of the Ventura County Community College District. The college is a non-profit tax-exempt institution that has strong ties with business and government offices around the Moorpark community in California. Students are at the center of this educational center with critical thinking skills, reading, writing, listening and speaking at the forefront of their education. Moorpark is dedicated to its campus and community with activities that get everyone involved.

Campus

The campus in Moorpark, California offers students the great views of the state combined with education unlike anywhere else. In Moorpark, students have a campus with an upper and lower level. The upper level consists of administration, financial aid, the library, buildings for the studies of applied arts, health science, and the performing arts. The lower level is where the athletic departments are located with the soccer field, baseball field and others. At the Moorpark campus, students are offered a bookstore, food court, various student clubs and a health center.

Courses

The programs at Moorpark are extensive with an A-Z list of studies. Every student can find a program here that will teach and train him or her in his or her chosen career field. Students can choose from animal science, geography and multimedia programs as well as nutritional science, photography, sign language and the theatre arts. Moorpark also offers distance education with online classes. Students can choose from strictly online courses or a hybrid of online and classroom based learning or education by DVD, VHS or web classes.

At Moorpark, the educational opportunities can give you a way to transfer to a 4-year university, enter the workforce immediately after graduation all with online classes or on campus courses. Your education is your key to success and the future is now.
