About the college
When Newberry College was first recognized, it was known as “Going Places Travel School”. That was in 1976, in 1990, it was acquired, and its name was changed to Newberry College. It was located in the City of Tustin at this time. They since moved it to Santa Ana. A surgical technology program was accredited in 1999 and added to the curriculum. They have grown so much they have opened another branch in Long Beach and San Diego. It is a private college. The instructors come highly qualified and they bring their own experience to the college.
About the Campus
New bridge College was selected for the 2008 best of Santa Ana Award in Business Schools. This category was by the local Business Association. The new bridge College mission is to always provide students with high quality training and emphasis on practical skills they will need in today’s work environment. They make sure their instructors are very qualified in their experience. They have mentoring support for students who need it as well as a modular scheduling system. They do not have on campus housing or a meal plan. You can speak to student services for a list they have of off campus housing.
About the courses
The courses offered at the Santa Ana campus are Surgical Technology, medical laboratory technician Associate, medical Assistant, Ultrasound, Medical Biller/Office management and certified Phlebotomy technician. You can speak to student services about financial aid that is offered for students who qualify. There are several programs available and there is sure to be a few you qualify for. You will need to complete this before starting classes. They will help you fill out forms, walk you through the process, and help you get all the paperwork you will need together.
