The Cerro Coso Community College is part of the Kern Community College District. The college was founded in 1973 as a separate institution. Cerro Coso is quite a large education community with five separate sites that serves 85,000. The five sites are Eastern Sierra Center Bishop and Mammoth, Indian Wells Valley, Kern River Valley and South Kern. The school offers unbeatable hands on class work as well as online courses for student availability.

Campus

The campus at Cerro Coso is located in Ridgecrest, California. It offers a bookstore, certification testing center, child development center, learning resource and assistance center and student housing. There are public transportation options for students attending Cerro Coso and also workforce education, food services and a variety of student activities. Courses

Cerro Coso offers its students a variety of courses for students to choose from. The school has a fine arts program that allows students to learn with hands on experience.
