About the college

Chapman University is one of the oldest, most prominent universities in California being founded in 1861. They opened their doors the same day Abraham Lincoln took his oath for office his first term. Students from around the world attend to study arts, business, science, and technology among a few of the courses. Chapman has more than 5000 undergraduate, graduate and law students enrolled in their university. Chapman is located in the historic city of Orange and only an hour drive from Los Angeles. You can get a variety of degrees from their seven schools and colleges of Chapman.

Campus

Chapman University offers on campus housing to all unmarried students for every year. They have Coed dorms, single student apartments, special housing for the disabled students, and other housing. Alcohol is permitted to students on campus that are of age. Hazing is prohibited! Every student is given an email address. There are libraries, art galleries, dance center, chapel, theatre production, and a piazza. There are many services offered to the students including tutoring, health service, day care, and health insurance. Many sports are offered at Chapman that include volleyball, polo, tennis, track and field, soccer, cross country, baseball, basketball and football.

Courses

The highest enrollment is in business administration, film production and communication studies while the lowest is in psychobiology, Spanish, and Germanic studies. Other course include advertising, pre-law, pre-veterinary science, pre-dentistry and education to name a few. Semesters start in late August and early February. There are two semesters and one month January interterm. They also have three summer sessions of eight weeks each. There are many studies for the International Student as well. Staff at Chapman will provide each student with resources to adapt to their new school. International students should familiarize themselves with the ISS office and staff for an easy transition.
