About the College

The education Center is a school that has Kindergartners all the way to adults in their school. The school wants to help their students become knowledgeable as possible to help them with the changing times in the world. The school first opened its doors in 1854 with only 2 teachers and about 90 students. The high school part did not open until 1856. In 1895, kindergarten classes opened for the first time. The school itself is over 150 years old. With the school starting out so small it is now one of the 10 biggest school districts in California as of today. Not only is the school open for children but it is also open for adults with certain courses.

Campus

The campus has no on campus housing due to the fact it is a school district but there are many houses and apartments close by. The school offers lunch for the children. The school offers parking for adults and students old enough to drive. Bus transportation is also available for ones that do not drive themselves. The campus also offers their own library for kids and adults to check out book and study in. The Education Center also offers wonderful music programs for children.

Courses

The courses that the Education Center offers for kids K-12 is your typical classes like art, history, gym, science, reading, English and so forth. The Education Center also offers much more for adults like Understanding and Using Technology, Personal and Community Safety, Sewing, Pattern Design, Alteration, Upholstering and Basic Techniques. Adults that are looking to improve on their basic skills can also do so by taking a course that includes Basic Math, Basic Reading, Basic Writing, and Basic Computer Literacy. The school also offers adults to come back and their GED to better themselves. The GED is done simply by taking your basic classes and graduating.
