About the college

Dell Arte is a school for creativity and the artist within us all. The Dell Arte International was founded in 1971 by Jane Hill and Carlo Mazzone- Clementi and became the accredited college that it is today back in 1974. The creation of actors onto the stage with bright lights is what Dell Arte has been doing for many years and to their credit that have produced great performing artists. The school works with actors in training, a Summer festival, community involvement, and youth programs in local schools.

Campus

The Dell Arte International School of Physical Theatre says a mouthful and they deliver amazing performances on stage and through their teaching. The school is the only one in the US that offers full time physical theatre training. Their faculty is committed to the theatre arts as most have made this field their career and are now passing their knowledge onto a new class of performers. Dell Arte provides its students with very few 2-bedroom apartments and a 9-bedroom hotel with returning students having first pick.

Courses

The courses at Dell Arte are quite extensive and diverse. The school offers Summer workshops, a study abroad program in Bali and student performances that also includes a youth academy and a teen ensemble. There is a Master of Fine Arts Ensemble Based Physical Theatre program and a professional training program. All of the programs are geared to train students to be exceptional performers on stage and into their chosen careers. Graduates have gone on to start their own companies or work as a mask maker in the community.

Performing arts is beautiful and often hard to achieve without dedication, training, and drive. Dell Arte is committed to keeping this art form alive and on stage for many years to come.
