About the College
Graduate Theological Union is located in Berkeley California and is a haven for religious thought, study, and practice. It is where the religion meets the world. Religious traditions that are presents at the union are Protestant, Catholic, Unitarian Universalist, Greek Orthodox, Jewish and Buddhist. Graduate Theological Union was founded in 1962 and has produced a wide range of students that have gone on and became ministers, who teach at eminent universities and seminars. The Union is a place where students can go and learn and achieve the greatest good. Many students from the Union have gone and became some of the best ministers and teachers of religion. The union does not discriminate against anyone.
Campus
The Graduate Theological Union does not offer students on campus housing but you can rent apartments and houses around the campus while you are attending college. Their campus does have other advantages like an on campus bookstore, Student Lounge, Student Affairs, Center for Jewish Studies, Administration Offices, Chapel, Library, Financial Aid, Organizations, Faculty Offices and so much more. If you live off campus then you can get public transportation to and from the school.
Courses
The Graduate Theological Union has many courses they offer to their students such as Art and Religion, History, Theological and Education, Field Education, Christian Spirituality, Old Testament Studies, Biblical Studies, New Testament Studies, Sabbatical Program, Ethics and Social Theory, Systematic Theology, Interdisciplinary Studies, Liturgical Studies and many more. The school is open to many religions and studies of them religions. All the courses offered here, there is something for everyone. You can get your degree or certificate in any of these courses that you are taking. Many students even take more than one course while they are attending the college to get the extra experience in a certain field.
