About the college

Learning is a life long process and the education at Santa Rose Junior College, SRJC, is dedicated to this philosophy. The junior college was established to create higher learning education that was available to all. SRJC offers its students transfer programs, career-training programs at various community sites and at their two campus locations. Students can even take online courses, study abroad and education opportunities for the community.

Campus

The Santa Rosa campus is full of beauty and academic excellence. The campus is close to the city of San Francisco on 100 acres surrounded by oak trees. Santa Rosa is a city that offers students beautiful scenery, local theatres, performing arts centers and the city’s local symphony. The Santa Rosa campus has a 4-story library for individual and classroom research projects. The campus also has an adult reentry program, on site bookstore, career development services, counseling and student housing.

Courses

At Santa Rose, there are programs for first time college students, returning students and adults wanting to reenter college and update their current and/or future career skills. Students can choose from programs that earn graduates certificates or degrees upon completion or be a part of their culinary arts courses. There are associate degree programs, transfer preparation courses, instructional departments and community education. Students can also take job training and workforce development classes or attend the Center for Advanced Technology in Education. Students can even study abroad.

Education at Santa Rosa does not expire and definitely does not have an age limit. Students of all ages, backgrounds and educational and career status can all come together and enrich their lives and futures at Santa Rosa Junior College. The degrees and certificates earned will create an unbelievable amount of possibilities.
