California State University in Chico is one of the oldest post secondary schools having been founded in 1887. California State University is a public university with high marks when it comes to discussing education. The college offers students distance education and online courses for ease of flexibility in scheduling. Students can be a part of an open university without actually being admitted to the university. The online courses even have online lectures.

Campus

The campus at California State University is located in the city of Chico in California. Transportation to the school is easy with the Butte County Regional Transit system called B-Line. There is a bookstore online called Text Link where students can find textbooks and they can also visit the store on campus. Also on campus is a library, Wildcat Athletic programs, the school newspaper Orion and access to Bidwell Park for various outdoor activities.

Courses

Sixty-Six of the undergraduate majors are in professional, technical and liberal arts. Students can also choose to obtain certificates of completion, minors and teaching credentials while they are attending CSU.

The college offers students two unique features called patters and options. An option is major that is paired with a recognized program of specialization. Advising patterns allow a student to complete a major program while also choosing and concentrating on a sub specialization area of interest. California State University has many programs for students to choose and excel.
