About the college

The Fresno location in California was started in 1911. A short 10 years later and the university became a teacher’s college. Since 1949, the school has been a forerunner in great education and has been offering advanced degrees since that year. The university is referred to as Fresno State and its students are Bulldogs. Fresno State is one of 23 campuses within the California University System and it is a college of substantial size.

Campus

Fresno is a city with amazing views and the campus is in the heart of that beauty. The campus is 388 acres with a university farm that is 1,011 acres. The Sierra Nevada mountain range is the backdrop for the campus. The city of Fresno is large in size even when compared to LA, San Francisco or Sacramento. It is number six of the largest cities in the state of California. Campus news is a rather big deal at the Fresno University. They have the University Journal, The Collegian, Go Bulldogs and Bulldog Dog.

Courses

Four-year courses for graduation are a part of the curriculum at Fresno State. The school offers graduate programs, undergraduate studies, online courses, continuing and global education classes. There is even a summer program available. The schools and colleges within Fresno State are of a great variety with focus on a specific field of study. There is a college of social sciences, science and mathematics, health and human services and also arts and humanities.

The learning does not stop there. Fresno State also offers the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology with classes to improve the standard of life. Craig School of Business, Kremen School of Education and Human Development and Lyles College of Engineering can also help you prepare for your future and the competitive job market.
