About the college

College of san Marin is a community college founded in 1922. They enroll over 10,000 students each semester. College of Marin offers over 95 majors and 80 A/AS Degree Majors and over 90 certificate programs. You can also find transfer areas. Some of the famous people that graduated are actress Jeanne Bates, Comedian Dana Carvey, actor Kurtwood Smith, and athlete Archie Williams.

Campus

College of San Mateo spans more than 150 acres. You will find many different clubs and organizations on the campus and it even two stations are licensed to San Mateo County Community College. These are KCSM’s radio and television stations. They debuted in 1964. On campus, housing is not available and neither are meals. You will find many family housing in the area. These families take in students and either gives them a room with two meals or a room with just breakfast. Whatever option you have, you must eat it. They tell you this so they do not waste food by making it if you plan on not being there by studying late at the library. Many students just get the breakfast. You will also find apartments for students. Contact student support for help in finding rooms or apartments.

Courses

The students of San Mateo mainly concentrate their studies in the construction trade or law enforcement but there are many different degrees available. There is a library on campus for studying. There is an option to study abroad as well. You have an option for full, part time or weekend study classes. There are associate degree, 1-2 year certificate, as well as 1-year certificates awarded to students. There is a full time staff of 139 with tenure, without and working towards it are 27 and 7 without and not available.
