Feather River Community College is a unique college because it is not out in the big city like most. This college is back in California’s hidden and quiet spot. The college is located near the Plumas National Forest. While attending Feather River Community College you can see a variety of wildlife including a resident deer herd. Feather River is an open, two-year community college. This college is endorsed by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The Feather River Community College is a great place that allows students to study in a quiet and relaxing area.
Campus
Feather River Community College offers their students on campus housing, which is only about a five minute walk to the campus. The dorms are suit-style and they come in one-bedroom units, which are shared, between two students and two bedroom units, which are shared by four students. The college does not allow co-ed apartments. The apartments come with one kitchen, one bathroom, living room, dining area, utilities, cable TV, wall-to-wall carpeting, desk, and one bed per student. If you are looking for off campus housing then that is available also. The campus offers wonderful classrooms and laboratories to help students with their learning. The campus also offers unique facilities such as the trout hatchery and equestrian center with a horse boarding facility. This is a wonderful college if you like the outdoors.
