About the College
Fielding Graduate University is a non-profit accredited university that is located in Santa Barbara, Ca and was founded in 1974. You can receive many different degrees here from doctoral to masters and graduate level certificates. Fielding University has been in the headlines for many different things lately and a few news worthy mentions include that they have been in diverse magazines, the Top 100 Graduate Degree producer, received two major awards by media Psychology Program Faculty members, and they received Carnegie Foundation Selection for Community Engagement. They have also received the prestigious Award in July of 2009. Therefore, you know you have to be a great University to be recognized by these outstanding people and companies!
Campus Life
Fielding University has an attractive 108 acres with many buildings to educate their pupils. There is no on campus housing or meals provided. You can speak with the university student support and they can help you with off campus housing. There are many families that host students. They have also found several houses in which many students share the rent. Several students decide to move in with four or five others to share the rent and other bills along with studying together.
About the courses
Fielding offers many degrees but the most popular ones are Business and management, Education and Teaching, Family and Social Work, and Therapy and Counseling. They have a full time staff of 42 men and 41 women to provide your education training. There is financial aid available for students to apply for to help them with their education expenses. In 2007 they handed out 210 Masters Degrees, 118 Doctorate degrees, 57 Post masters certificates and 25 Post baccalaureate certificates! They are finding many students are over 40 years old. There were 1,595 students enrolled and 1,460 were full time.
