About the College:
In 1925, Lassen Community College was created. Since the college has opened many things have changed, from the different types of people to the staff. The one thing that has stayed the same is the schools dedication to giving their students the success they deserve. The college is always changing but they always make sure with change that the school stays strong and capable of serving their students with the best. Since 1977 Lessen Community College has had a foundation for students to get financial support for students attending college. This foundation is supported with partnerships with people, businesses, and organizations from around the surrounding area. This just shows how much the college cares about their students. Lessen Community College is a two year college but after graduation they will help you in transferring to a four year college is you choose to.
Campus:
Lessen Community College offers on campus housing for their students, men, and woman. The facility has a TV lounge, recreation room, and laundry room and cable service for their students. Some of the rooms are two person rooms and they do have a few four-person rooms. All the rooms are joined with a bathroom in the four bedroom rooms. Rooms are furnished with a desk, a chair, a twin sized bed that can be made into a bunk bed, drawers, bookshelf, closet, sink and a vanity space. The campus has a bookstore right on campus. They also offer childcare, health services, and student employment for after graduation.
Courses:
Lessen Community College offers their student’s great programs and courses. The programs offered include Accounting, Gunsmithing, Administration of Justice, Human Services, Agriculture, Journalism, Art, Liberal Arts, Automotive Technology, Mathematics, Biological Science, Vocational Nursing, Business, Office Administration Assistant, Child Development, Physical Education, Correctional Science, Real Estate, Fire Technology, and Welding Technology. The programs can include associate degrees and certificates.
