About the college

For over 100 years, the Marinello Schools of Beauty have been a household name. In 1903, Ruth Maurer to the first steps in creating a face cream that would make women feel beautiful and crave other beauty procedures. It worked. Ruth became selling her products worldwide and two years later, she and her husband opened the first Marinello School of Beauty in downtown LA. Today the schools are located across the US in five states with 41 campus locations and public salons in each campus.

Campus

San Bernardino is a campus location for the school of beauty. There is a public salon located here where students perform the beauty services while professionals observe. At the campus, students get quality education from professionals in the beauty field plus a salon that encourages networking, building clientele, and customer service skills. Upon graduation, everyone is offered career placement services that can help secure careers in the competitive and growing cosmetology field.

Courses

Cosmetology is a program that covers the beauty areas of hair cutting, styling, color, texturizing, ethnic hairstyling, skin care, make up, nail care, salon management and exams that are used to resemble the ones taken in order to be licensed. At the Marinello School of Beauty, students can choose from a 1600-hour course that covers the studies above and a 1500-hour course that focuses on barbering and shaves.

The other program offered at Marinello is the 400-hour manicuring program. This program focuses on nail care, nail art, disease/disorders, acrylic nails, anatomy and physiology and business management. With any one of the programs, graduates can walk away from the Marinello School of Beauty with the skills for a rewarding career and a future that will not go out of style any time soon.
