About the College
In 1956, Mr. Adrian Cochran founded Adrian’s Beauty College and of the two remaining locations, they are owned and operated by Pat Cochran. The college is a training facility with the highest standards for post secondary education. Their goal is to exceed the state requirements for licensure and they have done this for the past 50 years. They make sure each graduate has the success to be more than they can be and have the opportunity to be their own boss in the cosmetology field.
About the campus
The campus is currently around 9300 sq feet and they have plans to expand it. There are 11 instructors and all total they have 273 years of excellent training and experience between them. There is a salon on the grounds that serve not only the students but the public as well. They have several different non-profit organizations they give back to in the community. They have a Cut-athon where all proceeds go to Missing and exploited Children and then they have a silent auction where proceeds go to the local Hospice. In December, they adopted a family for Christmas. There is no on campus housing or meal plan.
About the courses
The courses they use are the Pivot Point International curriculum and styling methods, this means you can work anywhere in the world after you graduate. You will learn high fashion hair designs for runways, become a celebrity stylist, or do print photos. Television, or just own your own spa or salon. You will first train as a freshman and then when you learn enough to pass the State exam then you will start training for the proficiency evaluation where you begin to learn the International Skills journey for High Styling in Pivot Point I and then on to Pivot Point II. The other courses are Esthetics, where you will learn makeup and other skin care procedures.
