About the college
Since 1927, Porterville College has been offering students various degrees and certificate programs in business, health, fire technology, and computer graphics and many more. They have a sports team named the Pirates. They have teams in basketball, baseball for men and women. They also have many clubs and organizations for the students to get involved in. Porterville College is located within 3 hours of some great seashore of the Pacific Ocean. You will find more things to do in your off time than you will have time for!
About the campus
You will find Porterville College one of the best in education and although they do not provide housing, you will find the housing off campus is very inexpensive. They do not have a food plan but they do have restaurants in the area that offer student discounts and you can always find something to munch on in the venders around campus. In 2007 they had a total enrollment of 3773 and 2389 was full time students. The teachers are given tenure (full time paid positions) to encourage them to stay with the school for a long time. They have 33 men and 35 women with tenure. Tuition is roughly $514 for in state and $5074 for out of state. Books cost on average $1314.
