About the college

The San Francisco Art Institute ,SFAI, has a long, rich and colorful history that dates back to 1871 when it was established. The institute is one of the oldest contemporary art schools where the education is of the highest quality and students are offered innovative creative programs. Both creativity and critical thinking are offered in the programs and the end result is a graduate that is an accredited artist and creative leader.

Campus

San Francisco is a city by the bay with the Golden Gate Bridge as a local attraction. The art institute is located in San Francisco and students have great weather, numerous attractions and a city that screams beauty and creativity. Art, in every form, is explored through California’s entertainment venues, museums and scenic views. The campus offers public transportation, a library, academic advising and tutoring.

Courses

At SFAI, students are offered a plethora of programs to peak their creative interests. Undergraduate programs earn students a bachelor of fine arts or a Bachelor of Arts degree with critique and experience to help you grow as an art school student into an art school graduate. Students can take courses in film, liberal arts, painting, photography and others. SFAI also offers research and investigation centers, a summer institute, graduate programs with master of fine arts and summer master of fine arts degrees and a post baccalaureate certificate in fine arts.

Exhibitions and public programs are a part of SFAI with work by international contemporary artists with one on one critiques, workshops and lectures. At SFAI, you can add a splash of color to your future with quality art education from the institute. Graduates can change the look of their careers and communities with the art education needed to make a difference. You can even teach your craft to others.
