About the college
When it was first opened in 1961, there were 250 students. They moved to Rohnert Park its permanent location on 215 acres in 1966 once Darwin and Stevenson Halls were built. There began to be more and more students enrolling so they had to expand by adding more buildings including Ives Hall for performing arts, a dining commons, library, physical education building, and three lakes, which are used for visual features on campus. From 1969 until 2009, they have added over 20 additional buildings from pools to kitchen and concert halls. They are also adding a 700-bed residence hall that will open fall of 2009.
