About the college

West Hills College has a long and rich history that started in 1932. In that year, the Coalinga Union High School District wanted to build a college. A campus was built near the city of Coalinga and then in 1969 the name was changed to the name that it goes by today. This was known as Kings County Center and then was changed to the name of West Hills College-Lemoore. The doors for the new campus in Lemoore opened in 2002 and has been going strong ever since.

Campus

The Lemoore campus has 18 classrooms with a science wing that is absolutely amazing. It is a state of the art building called Collaboratory and has the award of being the most technologically advanced library in Kings County. Also on campus are administrative buildings, an outdoor amphitheater, student services and a multipurpose center. Having a campus in Lemoore is great because students can enjoy the beauty of California with the state’s bigger cities just a drive away.
