About the college

The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1980. The study of therapeutic practices is what the college embodies. They rely on strict professionalism while helping students achieve one of two of their outstanding degrees in Chinese medicine. The degrees are Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The college not only teaches students it helps provide healthcare to the community.

Campus

The campus is located in San Francisco, California. The main campus is located at 455 Arkansas Street. The Pioneer Square Campus and Shuji Goto Library’s location is 555 De Haro Street and the clinic is close to the main campus. The faculty includes both full time and part time teachers to insure proper learning amongst the entire student body. The city of San Francisco has great ties with the Chinese culture plus Chinese medicine and creates the best place for the college to call home.

Courses

The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine offers students and the general public introductory courses to help spread the knowledge of Chinese culture and medicine. The courses are as follows: Introduction to Daoist Nutrition, Introduction to Tai Chi, A Nutritional Approach to Chinese Herbs and Healing, Dayan Qi Gong For Health and Understanding Chinese Medicine. Asian Body Therapy courses are also available. The Shiatsu Massage Certificate Program trains students at a professional level in massage.

A Master’s of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine can also be acquired by registering at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The college has the utmost respect for the Chinese culture and is willing to teach all that will listen, and then you can take your knowledge and help your community.
