About the college

With an impressive 20,000 graduates in various in demand career fields it is easy to see why San Joaquin Valley College, SJVC, is at the top of the education industry. The community of colleges was founded in 1977 and has been setting up campuses all across the state of California ever since. The college offers students a unique learning experience with classroom instruction and hands on job experience for the confidence and skills needed to make it in today’s competitive job market.

Campus

The Visalia campus has been training students since 1985. The classes are small with personalized instruction and students can graduate in little to no time at all. Within 1 or 2 years, you can be in a different position in your current company or in a whole new career field with skills that impress. Students can take classes in the top industries like business, medical and technical with hands on training that mimics real life job atmospheres.

Courses

In the technical field, students can take courses in computer support technology and industrial technology. Also at SJVC, there are medical field programs that include clinical/administrative medical assisting, clinical medical assisting, dental assisting and dental hygiene. In addition, there are programs in licensed vocational nursing, associate in science degree programs with LVN and RN certification, pharmacy technology, physician assistant, registered nursing and respiratory therapy.

The business programs at SJVC offer student’s business administration, criminal justice: corrections, health care administration and human resource administration. These programs are in high demand fields and with the education from SJVC your possibilities are endless and your future can take you anywhere.
