Canada College (Redwood City, CA)

About the College

Canada College is a very small community college that was opened in 1968 and some may think it is a private one, even though it is on 131 acres. You will find the small classes more enjoyable compared to being in a huge lecture hall being taught by just a graduate student. Our faculty has earned PhD’s and they enjoy mentoring the students. Canada College is one of the leading colleges in transferring their students to the four-year colleges.

In front of the Library Learning center is The Butterfield Sculpture. This beautiful piece of art was made for the school to highlight their commitment to art and the beautiful surrounding of olive and oak trees. It was first made of wood and since has been bronzed to keep its beauty for many years to come.

Campus

Canada College does not offer on campus housing but there are several apartment complexes just for students close by and some are in walking distance or short bus rides. On campus, meals are not provided either. There are many fast food places close by. Many students bring their own meals and have a picnic style meal out on the lawn with several students altogether.

Courses

There are many courses offered for many different career paths. Students can prepare for a transfer to a four-year college by earning their Associates Degree or basic skills beforehand.
