About the College

Culinary Institute of America in located in the beautiful Napa Valley in California. The Institute has the best professionals teaching students all the cooking and baking needs to get them off to wonderful careers in the food industry. Getting jobs in the food industry cannot only get your cooking in fine restaurants but some of the famous chefs have gone to culinary schools and now are on TV. The Culinary school offers classes for professionals at any skill level they are. If food is your love of life then this is the school for you.

Campus

The Culinary Institute offers their students on campus housing. The campus has three different dorm buildings and house over 1,700 students. The three halls Angell, Pick-Herndon, and Rosenthal Halls were build back in the 1970’s. Each hall has private bathrooms on each floor, a laundry room for washing clothes, computer labs to help students do their homework and research and they each have a working kitchen for students to make their own meals. The campus also has off campus housing where students can get apartments or small houses for themselves instead of sharing a room with someone at the halls on campus. The campus also offers students a shopping market, which is the schools market, wine yards, vineyards, and restaurants for students to work in and prepare meals.

Courses

The Culinary Institute of American offers a few certificate programs. The Baking and Pastry Arts Certificate Program is a program where you can learn the in-depth techniques and recipes of the finest pastries and baking. Accelerated Culinary Arts Certificate Program is a program designed for graduates of food science, nutrition, hospitality management, and related bachelors degree programs. This program is for professionals with the skills of culinary familiarity and with skilled kitchen experience. The Culinary Institute of America also offers Degree programs such as the Culinary Arts and Backing and Pastry Arts Degree. This Degree gives you hands on learning and students get to work with instructors who are masters in their field of culinary arts. This Degree will raise your possibilities of many career choices in the future.
