For 33 years, Lytle’s Redwood Empire Beauty College has been training students for successful careers in cosmetology. The college offers students hands in education with the latest trends in hair and skincare. Lytle’s is the only beauty college north of the Golden Gate Bridge that is nationally accredited. Beauty to this college is the number one priority and their students, of course.

Campus

The Golden Gate Bridge, great climate and mountains and beaches within a short drive are what makes the Lytle’s 8,000 square foot campus a great place to study beauty. The campus is located in the city of Santa Rosa. Here students have separate classrooms for each program offered. There is also freshmen theory classrooms for Cosmetology and Esthetics and a senior theory classroom. Seniors also have full access to the salon-training floor where students can perform cosmetic procedures on actual clientele with professional supervision.

Courses

There are two programs offered at Lytle’s. One is cosmetology and the other is esthetician. The cosmetology course takes approximately one year to complete with 1,600 worked hours required. Hands on salon training and an externship in a professional salon are offered with this program. The esthetician program teaches students the fundamentals of skin care. The course requires 600 clocked hours that can be completed in as little as 5 or 6 months. Students will also learn make up applications with MAC make up.
