About the college

The Art Institute of California has the motto, “Create a Future”. The institute is a post secondary school with its education devoted to design, media arts and culinary arts. The education at the Arts Institute is hands on with career-oriented programs that can take graduates into some of the most exciting and in demand industries in local California. The faculty is at the top of their game and the teaching leads future graduates into entry-level career positions.

Campus

Having a campus located in the city of San Diego gives students a place filled with art museums, galleries, restaurants and art around the city streets for inspiration. The campus is also close to the ever-changing business community, local attractions and near by beaches. The school offers students classrooms and studios, fully equipped professional kitchens, MAC and Pc computer labs, student gallery and arts store. The Art Institute campus also offers a library resource center.

Courses

At the Arts Institute in California, students can take courses in the culinary arts, design, fashion, media arts and general education to further their future career choices. Classes are offered year round with evening and weekend options. Students can graduate in as little as 21 months or 36 months. The culinary program offers students associate of Bachelor of Science degrees in baking and pastry, culinary arts or culinary management. There is also an online student galley. The design program offers degrees in advertising, graphic and interior design.

Fashion can lead graduates to careers in fashion design or fashion marketing/management. The media arts program can bring websites, movies, music and video games to life and you can be the inventor. At the Art Institute, your creative spirit can take you into a rewarding career and future.
